Tree Removal and Shed Move

Unfortunately I wasn't able to have much of the documented due to the birth of my daughter just before the weekend

The shed was in a terrible location in the back yard so it was moved to the corner of the property. To make things easier we used our skid steer. The skid steer was scored from a farmer for $500. It's a diesel and just needed a little work. During the shed move we had a wheel bearing finally give out, but we were able to finish the job still.

We also used the skid steer to dig around the stump about 2 ft below surface, so that I could get a chainsaw and cut the stump down further. I cut the stump into 4 sections and then was able to use the skid steer to back fill over the stump and level the ground out. Then the skid steer was used to push the shed into position but not with out adding ramps, pipes, and boards to help the shed move.

In 2009 the roof was replaced, but I intended on removing the Oil furnace and Central air unit that was extremely old. We now have a Ducane 95% efficient gas furnace with it power vent out the back and a new Ducane Central Air Unit which qualified for the tax credits. Unit is 15 seer with the large A coil we installed. You can only get the focus on energy tax credit for AC if you replace both units at the same time. We did and it was needed anyways.

Well when the roof was replaced we found out that I could get another credit if I got rid of the chimney and closed the hole in the roof, so we did. I now used some of the chimney bricks as raisers and corner supports for the shed. Recycling at it's best.
